WCC6 week 7: TOOBIN
Maybe you think you have finish with water games after week 6 ?
Wrong ...
Game this week will be "Toobin" (5 clones but we will play with the parent set) :
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... xlines=999
Warps are allowed.
Special bonus points :
* 5 pts for the first to finish the game
* 5 pts for the first to beat the almost 8 years old Marp hiscore :
2952480 by Andy Hofle with ... m33b6 !
Points can be cumulated by same person (and even -this is highly possible- in same inp)

Oh I forgot :
if you finish the game, you also will be able to earn 50$, as it is one of ddpx's bounty game :
viewtopic.php?t=12297&start=0
j) Finish the game on one credit: $50. You may use the first two warps to advance through the game.
Read this post, there is some infos (like not warping to gain more extra lives)

If you collect all letters for " TOOBIN' ", you get a secret code that you send to Atari Games and win a T-shirt. But you must do it before December 1st 1988
What other shirt challenges were there:
Gauntlet I? &II(exit secret room)
Road Blasters(finish game)
Klax(finish game)
I hear Atari lost millions! of dollars for printing those darn Road Blasters and Klax T-shirts, since those were so easy to finish. In the end they had to dig up Atari2600 ET-cartridges and give them instead. That didn't prevent the industry crashing. All because some shirts. Doh.

Puzzle Bobble - finish the gameThe TJT wrote:What other shirt challenges were there:

Gauntlet Legends - either beat Skorne or build a character up to Level 99, not sure which
WAR Final Assualt - no idea but I know there was a t-shirt involved
and of course, Asylum had a t-shirt offer ready to go but that game was never released ;)
that was a joke, right? :PI hear Atari lost millions! of dollars for printing those darn Road Blasters and Klax T-shirts, since those were so easy to finish. Yep. When we could finish Toobin or Gauntlet secret room, we were already lateBBH wrote:that was a joke, right?I hear Atari lost millions! of dollars for printing those darn Road Blasters and Klax T-shirts, since those were so easy to finish. JST did finish Klax too...I believe it when you show me the shirt JST!
ET and it's phone bills
...And later put cement on the landfill to stop stealing kids. Makes me wonder if there are still 5 Million! (not kidding) ET-cartridges buried there!
Ach's replay was done on easiest mode in M33b6 not medium difficulty.
So, drop the 5 bonus points on that, Phil!
I did some testing on pb problems on Toobin. Wolf83,89,99,100, and 101 pb works so far. Wolf90,78, and 95 have some serious pb problems due the Pokey (??) bug or random generator code causing the game crash no reasons.
Pat33999. Let Phil decide which version that we should be playing Toobin! I think that Wolf 101 or 99 should work better. IMHO.

A strange glitch just happened in Wolf 101. I don't know if its the fault of MAME, or the game itself.
