Wonderboy:The last secret...

I was wondering how exactly you get the extra 500k as a final bonus when you finish Wonderboy. I just tried with savestates and I only got the doll bonus (32) at 8-4.. I think I missed one ESC bonus in the game though.. can that be the problem? It is the only thing I can think of.. Dan.jp doesn' have any mail so I can't mail him...

Anyone else who knows?

I don't want to end up finishing 8-4 and get a possible lower score than a 7-4 'finish' :)

EDIT:

Hmm I think i get it now.. I did get all the ESC letters this time.. still no 500k bonus.. just 150-200k bonus. My guess is that it is the number of men you have when you finish the game...Like 20-50k/man something..

Man.... that will be tough :P

I do believe it is related to the extra lives :) Pity you were lost before I could reply, as I do have a Wonderboy Letter/Doll Guide on GameFaqs, and have recieved a bit of praise for it. [Usually get a lot for my first 3 Wizardry faqs]

All I can said it's I made my all time recrd in arcade long years ago. A record who is very close to the gamest record (30 or 40k). I'd got all dolls, all ESC and finish the game with my second life. Grrr I slip on a plat-form on the 8-3 T_T.

So, I ever wonder what's happened when the game is finish with 1st life, all ESC, all Dolls.

Congrats QRS, finish this game is always great :)

I knew of the dollsx10 but not how much the remaining lives were worth. Thanks for the info Dan and once again congrats for showing us how a master plays the game!
