Frenzy high score

Post by lippsman »

Could someone please see if they can playback the top .inp for Frenzy. When I play it back, it ends at the second board. I would love to see how this highscore was reached.

Thanks

it always helps when posting anything like this that you include the URL versus having us all look it up...especially with the way searches often are failing right now.

As well as referring to the specific player name and score to make sure we know the exact score you are talking about.

Do you mean Robot City's score of 164,516 HERE ??

The score has been confirmed so someone at least back then was able to properly play it back. Given that older version of winmame it's likely you might have to be using an older version of Windows like win98 to view it...instead of using WinXP etc.

This is the case with many playbacks with older mames.

Frenzy (and Berzerk) needs to be recorded and played back with sound off... hmm, that really needs to be added to the Special Rules

I would need to test it but I think for macmame the playback works fine with sound on...provided you have the exact same sound samples.

The problem some get with playback with these is using different sound samples or lack of sound samples the user perhaps was using when they recorded.

It might be very difficult to find the sound samples used for those games with a version that old...cuz I know they were changed in later versions.

Well, for starters, where did he write that?

He hasn't posted in this forum in almost two years.

He wrote it in his description for his old Frenzy score.
