Isn't there a banned technique where you can't just go bouncing back and forth and score points? Why do I ask this? I downloaded EIGHT ghosts and goblins recordings(or it's variations), and EIGHT of those recordings all used the banned technique. Just went back and forth scoring loads of points. I think those scores(all of which I downloaded were unconfirmed) should be put back to a gooseegg due to using an illegal technique - what does the concensus think?

I haven't played back the recordings, but I've never seen a score in
the millions by playing the game through.

The cheat is. At the end of the Zombie section there is a spot where
you move the chracter left then right, each time a zombie comes out.
Shoot each time you change directions and you kill a zombie.
<p>
If your coordination is good enough (I'm sure every here is
, you
can score enough points to get an extra life. Thus playing pretty much
forever.

This involves the top three in the gng set, the top three in the gnga
set, and the top three in the gngt set(3rd place might get away with
it though...)

I think they do, but i think the rate at which they come isn't enough
to continue to get an extra life in the time period given for the
level. So everyone goes there to points leech instead.

Any scores over 1 million pts are VERY suspect , because I finished
this game normally and scored @ 500k or so, ( with about 2 minutes of
leeching...ahem ).
Of course these scores should be removed. After all , it is a listed
banned technique.
Another thing you can do on this game ( which should also be banned
), is on the first level. Y`know the way you can shoot the
gravestones 15 times and get turned into a frog ? Well you can time
it so that you shoot it 14 times , and when your timer is down to 2-3
seconds , shoot the gravestone , and the guy will cast his spell on
you. If you have timed it right , you will not die ,but will have
unlimited time to play on and do the cave trick to your hearts
content. Sometimes it dosen`t work so well , and you are rooted to
the spot , but most times it does.

I should have said that I completed the game in the Arcade years
back.
As soon as I get some decent controls, I`ll play this game again ,
