Is it a site for gamers or snivellers?
Since a few days, a lot of records generate doubt on the board.
For example , mr Tiihonnen (the John McEnroe of MARP) who wrote a novel on track&field to conclude that 10 persons couldn't make best scores than him because he was the best in arcade ; S; Remnes who suspected me on nibbler until Zwaxy disculpate me ; or Lagavulin's beautiful record on zzyzzyxx who has been commented with suspicion when there is nothing strange in his inp file.

So please stop complain and PLAY !!!!!

How about stop complaining about the complainers and listen to what
they are saying and join in the discussion. I brought up the zzyzzyxx
thing because i wanted to know if there was a technique for remaining
in a bricked square, it is now confirmed that there is simply a chance
that you remain in a bricked square for longer than usual at random
points, as long as you are holding the joystick in the opposite
direction you'd be forced to go in with the limited time period.

and as for track and field, i don't think anyone could not suspect
something in those recordings. are you really going to say you didn't
use an autofire in them? If you didn't all you have to say is what
finger technique you used and tommi might even back down, and say
"wow, that's a great idea, thanks phil."

And i don't think the last few days are any exception to scepticism
(sp) as you can see from the illegal recordings thread dates.

In response to Phil`s comments. OK , I`m a relative " new-boy " to
MAME , and I can`t speak for the other games mentioned. But as for
Track+Field , I, like Tommi , feel myself to be an expert on this
game ( don`t mean to sound big-headed , but those are the facts ).
To imply that Tommi is jealous of a better player, is I think ,
somewhat naive.I consider myself a great player on this game, but
realise that there are others better than me. The speeds that are
involved / displayed beg suspiscion when you consider the actual
controls available for the PC. The speeds also reflect the use of the
Auto-fire option , which I have duplicated myself ( speed bar
acceleration ...etc ).
Now you may say that these players ( Phil ? ) have an excellent way
to produce genuine speeds on whatever controls....but could Phil ( et
al ) enlighten us as to what controls and by what method was used ?
I can use the " 8-finger and 6-finger " method , no problem in an
Arcade environment, but using a gamepad or joystick ( minus auto-fire
of course ) simply cannot produce the speeds involved.
I will of course stand corrected if evidence of a new method of
obtaining speeds , using PC controls , is revealed.......but I doubt
it. ( RLH not counting )

Thank you Phil,(the Steve Davis of T&F) I allways enjoyed watching
McEn-roe because of his attacking game and great skills that he
possesses. I really didnt say that nobody can top my gameplay or to
brag with my records . My main point was to show that I have enough
skill and knowledge of the game to see who is doing it fair and who
is not. In fact it was an old topic, which had been buried without
conclusions. I m not so much interested to have couple of
leaderboard points. I thought that false scores are doing great
harm to the game in general and to fair competition, that most of
us surely would like to have.

I think this sums it up on my part, and not going to write more about
this anymore, but once again(definitely last): As seen in my inquiry
of TF time to vote, other marpers agree with me that cheats are
not allowed and TF sco-res should be removed and begin with a fresh
start. So backup your TF-inps now and most hopingly Zwaxy removes
them in week or straightaway(its hes site). OK Chris? So nice
weekend to every marper out there.
