rally x info/maps/stuff..(goes here)..

Post by negative1 »

ok, i've been looking for some 'rally x' stuff.

the classic game, not the new one..

i can post some maps that i'm making,
(the link in the other post, didn't work for me)..

there's some smaller maps found here,
along with a faq:

maps -> http://db.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/fi ... se_map.gif

faq w/ascii maps (hard to follow) ->
http://db.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/rally_x.txt

this is a very recent faq, done this year..

i'll post a map that i made..

if there's anyone interested let me know..

it's very time consuming to make these maps,
i have 100 screenshots to combine for 1 map..

I just checked the link that Frankie posted, and it works 100%!

Looks cool to see the mazes in a big scale :)

hey qrs,

can you repost the maps,
or zip them up somewhere,

i still can't see them, IExplorer
doesn't want the pictures to come up..

thanks, and let me know if we can
work something out..

if they're not that big (size), maybe
you can email them to me, and i can
host them on my site..

For a game like Rally-X which doesn't put many different colors on screen, you'd be better off opening the maps in a picture editor, reducing the colors to 256, and then saving as a .gif. The .jpg compression would look terrible

yeah, thats right i'll make the .gif,

but they're very large pictures for the whole..

so i might thumbnail them as .jpg,
or section them off..

i'll try a few different things..
