Why is it with a neo-geo shoot-em-up game they give you instructions on how to use the joystick (joystick left moves left, up move up etc I mean like Duh who can't work that out) or that button A shoots the normal fire and button B shoots the big bomb (1 press of each normally works that out for you).

But when you get a sports simulation like 2020BB they give you no damn instructions that I've found as to how to get the pitcher to pitch faster than 30km/h how to hit the damn ball....

More to the point, how on earth are you supposed to know which way you should move the joystick when they've hit your pitch. There seems to be no damn way to tell which way you need to move your man until the balls almost upon them anyway. In fact this is the problem I've always found with any attemp at a team sport simulation - controlling which man you really want to have the focus is a right royal pain in the ass.

Actually, the only fun I had last night was finding out how to curve the pitches into the stupid opposing team and deliberately knocking them to the ground.

SPORTS GAMES SUCK EVEN MORE THAN MAZE GAMES AND PSEUDO 3D GAMES.

Hehe, i never noticed that, they do give directions for the
fighters/shooters, of course they don't tell you how to do the super
moves either

2020bb is somewhat difficult to judge where you need to start running,
but experience from watching baseball games in real life helps this.
you can kinda tell where the ball is going to land from what angle the
ball comes off the bat and how fast it comes off the bat. You can
also "listen" to the sound of the ball as it reaches the highest
position the pitch of the sound of the ball is at the highest
register, and as the ball falls the pitch of the sound falls as well.
There is also the shadow of the ball to see if you can't see the
ball.

If the pitcher is not pitching faster than 30 then you need to switch
pitchers becacuse their tired or just bad pitchers, i'm not sure but i
think if you hold the joystick/arrow down after throwing the pitch it
will pitch as fast as you can.

I have a problem with the method of play, i wish the score was
(2 times RunsFor minus RunsAgainst) instead of money making, it's so
much fun actually using your money to power up, this way you can't use
powerups nearly at all with out losing money on average. Since now
it's just a game of finding the team you don't need to heal as much
and not need to power up and play with them. But that's the vote and
i accept it.

Watch the demo screen before the game. The instructions that normally show up after putting a coin in a Neo Geo game are in the demo. At least some of them anyway ... I haven't watched the whole thing myself <p>
