Won't playback with or without sound or NVRAM. Hiscore.dat perhaps? (I still say that the entry for this clone is wrong, it's the only explanation as to why the other clones have no problem with it).

Right, it's probably different between those two versions. (ie: the high scores are likely to be stored in a slightly different location of RAM)
