Timed games

Post by cosumel »

I was playing 2020 Baseball and hit a grand slam just before time ran out. The ball was in the air as time ran out. Do I score a 3 or a 7?

Wow - that's a tough one - I guess it's a 3 because time ran out with you scoring 3.

On a related note - this is one of those games that should be played and scored like the soccer games - keep playing until you lose... that's just my personal opinion, though.

Yeah maybe it's time we vote for this one to be one credit or whole game, but if we're going to change the credits or scoring there has to be some sort of rule stoping hit by pitches, those are almost as lame as leeching.

I also would stake that if the ball is over the fence when it time sout then it is a grand slam 7 points no question (you don't have to have all players round the bases for score), if the ball isn't over the fence when the time runs out, it's not a homer yet.

Of course real baseball rules say if an umpire calls interference or a game on the account of rain and the runners haven't finished running around then they will not score.
