I wouldn't really recommend 0.106, since it is woefully out of date (and I can't run it, due to missing 32-bit outdated libraries, unlike current MAME where most libraries are compiled in)

I forget exactly when it happened, but there was a bugfix to consistently handle diagonals on 4-way joysticks, which prior to that fix, could cause incompatibilities across platforms. Might be somewhere around 0.159, but I cannot be certain.

Hi Barry

I just want to recompile for playbackability .wlf files in linux.

What are the steps for compile a linux binary for xwolfmame 0.106.

I got the diff source code of what "aycaramba" has posted.

Do you have the source code of wolfmame 0.106? the wolfmame.marprc.net site
do not list the files anymore.

So if I can get the wolfmame source.

How do , apply the diffs

How do I compile it? Do I need an old version of linux date around 2008?

What version of SDLMame of XMAME are a good "test case" for know compiling will work with old libraries on an old version of linux?

Regards

You'll probably want an older GCC (about 4.x). XMAME doesn't use SDL, from what I remember.
I'm not sure on any other dependencies, but what documentation there is, should be in the XMAME source package.

Hi Barry

Where is the XMAME source packages links for different versions and diffs please.

If the host of wolfmame.marpicr.net can enable file list then it would be much easier
for users of the site getting the files they need?

Any chance to enable this? Then I can download and dump the whole list under a github
or if you wanted to have an archive githun of the whole wolfmame.marpirc.net structure
and sub folders it would be very nice of you.

Source download seems to work via the Wayback Machine
https://web.archive.org/web/20090308015 ... nload.html
I don't think I did upload the source diff anywhere (unless I forgot that I did, although I suppose I must have if someone's updated it)

I don't think I can enable the file list (it's presumably a security reason), best I can do is make a simple page that links back to the github page.
