bombjackt - 5 lives or marathon?

Bomb Jack has a 5 lives rule, but this clone doesn't seem to so I'm looking for clarification. Saulonpb@TeamBrazil has a first place score of 4,588,320 but it looks like the score was edited down to be for five lives. The .inp actually plays out to 6,011,010. Since we already have 5 lives on the main romset, perhaps one should be allowed to remain as a marathon game for those so inclined? Or if we want 5 lives across all clones, can we add that to the special rules for this game?

This is a recent clone (m149), just forgot to add special rules when this clone was out.
