Proposition to change rules in mk2 , mk3, umk3

Post by BlackTMH »

As you can see, game Mortal Kombat 2 & 3 have many 1st places. I have idea to change it.

Actually rules is:

Code: Select all

Score is 10 x (nb of rounds won) - (nb of rounds lost) [each fight has 2 rounds]
I suggest that rule:

Code: Select all

Score is 20 x (nb of perfect rounds won [flawlles victory]) +10 x (nb of rounds won with damage) - (nb of rounds lost) [each fight has 2 rounds]
... then only the best players can have 1st place.

Good idea.
Links are nice...MK2 and MK3
Since there are 5+6 clones and many recordings, editing scores would have to be done by players themselves...if they have "flawless" rounds.

How about this?:

Code: Select all

Score is 10 x (nb of rounds won) - (nb of rounds lost) + (nb of flawless rounds) [2 rounds to win per fight] <p>
Ex : 2-0 , 2-0 , 2-0 , 2-1 , 2-1 , 1-2, 1 flawless round...will be 11x10 - 4 + 1 = 107
(Same as old rules, but giving + 1 point for flawless "rounds")

I think PERFECT would be give more than "1" point... Maybe "3"... or the maximum "5".

Using the TJT's proposal (P=1) I think is bad... if you receive +1 point due Perfect, and lost one round will be the same final score.

Hmmm... P = "+5"! This way your battle can maximize to 30 points (P+P).

My proposal vs blacks are the same, except mine would give 1 point for flawless round, blacks would give 10 points, which I think is too much:

With 2 "flawless" wins, you could lose your last match 1-2 and still have more points than somebody who finishes the game without any losses:

Player1, last match: 2-0= 20 points

Player2, last match: 1-2 (+2 flawless)=10-2+20=28points

Yes, but I think other point values would be worse. :?

If you would give 10 points for flawless round(blacktmh):

player1: 2-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0= 100 points

player2: 2-0, 2-1, 2-1, 2-1, 2-1 + having one flawless win = 96+10=106 points

If you would give 5 points for flawless...previous examples player2 would have 1 point more than player 1.

So why make up a random number for flawless win, why not make it 1?
Don't ya agree? Or is flawless so precious that it should score many times more than losing a round? 8O :)

As long as you are rewarded for a flawless run (and you can't get a better score without) it doesn't matter if it is 1 or 1000 points more right? :)

We need to keep the bonus as low as possible. One max two points seems fine to me.

You lost me there :)

If you meant with "flawless run":

1. Getting all 2-0,2-0 etc...

Then I agree, but then we would need a system like: win round*1000 -loose round*100 +flawless round*1 ...And changing scoring for over 60 inps would be... Image

2. same as "flawless round" = you don't get hit by one opponent at one round at all, your power-bar stays full.

Then your comment was irony....because if you got flawless round at first opponent and scored 1000 points, you wouldn't have to fight more matches to get marp 1st...

Flawless is no scratch so to speak. What I mean is that you must get some kind of reward for that. And I don't think it matters how much it is as long as you don't get LESS for a flawless than ordinary wins. Comprende? :)

Si, comprende. = "flawless round" (2. above)

Si, eee... non comprende :)

Other words, my suggestion was flawless=11 points,
ordinary=10 points
Ok?

It was flawless hehe but so is 1000 points or 20 points more :) 1 point is good for me though as it doesn't matter as long as it is more that no flawless.

Winning with flavles isn't more better than normal winning, like yours suggestions. I think 1 or 2 pts for great game in one round is to small.

But TJT have right at this point:
The TJT wrote:If you would give 10 points for flawless round(blacktmh):

player1: 2-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0= 100 points

If you would give 5 points for flawless...previous examples player2 would have 1 point more than player 1
10 is to big.

I think 5 is the best way.

example -
max pts[extra pts=5] 15x2-0 x 15pts, all flavlles and without loosing thats give 450 pts.
One more. Biggest score = more interesting input.
