Sawys' desription has been edited back and forth to read:
Mission 6 - Sawys, the french touch from http://www.jvrm.net - I lost 1 precious life because someone knocked my door
[analyzing this recording, looks like it was recorded at much slower speed... don't go anywhere saw's :) -skito] I don't understand I play normally. What's going on now ? [Can you tell us your system specs? If what I have is right, then there is no way your system could run this game fast enough -br]
Perhaps we could discuss this here instead?

It's being discussed currently in the editors' forum.

Yes, I'm sure, but Sawys doesn't have access there.

With 99% avg speed why should we?

Try playing this game with a 1 GHz CPU and see what speed you get.

Well whatever, but it seems the recorded speed is above 90% in this case.

Maybe i'm missing something or maybe you could post something constructive...

Oh saw it before the posts in fact.

What i want to know is why the average recorded speed given by WolfMAME on exit is wrong, and how can you check the real one then?

By the way i tried on my 2 ghz CPU and indeed 1 seems a bit short.

Only Sawys knows the answer.

Hmm are you suggesting some kind of cheating involved?

Anyhow the average FPS is kinda low too, so intense frameskipping is probably the answer.

Dodging bullets is sooooo easy at frameskip 11. :)

In this case, the recorded speed is the ONLY thing that doesn't suggest slowdown.

Recorded CPU clock speed suggests slowdown.
The old tried and true method of measuring lengths of button presses that we've used for years suggests slowdown.
The new experimental method we're still testing out suggests slowdown.

My answer

Post by sawys »

Hi MARPER's
I don't understand why my computer make a good emulation of scramble spirit but I have do nothing to cheat or else.
I play normally and Wolfmame recorded my inp at 100%.
For me it's normal... Maybe my computer is fool !! But the facts are here ! I can't make anything else to proove it. If I had an idea of the true speed of this game I can compare with my configuration.
My PC is an Athlon 1Ghz + NVIDIA GEFORCE2 MX 400 + 256 Mb RAM
but this computer was not mine it was to my sister and she changes pieces (it's not the real word in english - factory ?) before she gives it to me 2 years ago.
I saw today a new inp on this game but it's true that this one was under 100% (till 82 %). But mine no !! I don't know why ?
When I play, the speed seems to be normal for me.
I am very embarrassed by this inp because i'm not a cheater or a lier.
I do my best to play with honnor and in the rules of gamers.
