don't use brake.

just tap accel button to ease up on the gas in the turns a little.

I have submitted a preliminary score...actually almost exact same time(206.71) as my old 65800 time was...but that was played at TG settings so a lot more cars to pass for points.

make sure all in this are using default settings. higher potential score using harder settings with more cars to pass.

NVRAM operates identically to regular MAME. To avoid using any existing NVRAM, use either the included record.bat/playback.bat or use MMF.

The only additional switches are related to the input viewer.

yeah, renaming to something else just before launching then rename back after quitting is what I have in the batch file.

earlier versions though also had an arg to be 100% sure cheats are off and nvram isn't used.

it seems 119 still has the cheats off from the mame.ini...but I see nothing about nvram use in this file except for the pathname.

I guess I will just live with what the bat does...cuz yeah, that does seem to work ok.

Some time ago I tried Pole Position (TG Bounties?) and best results and most comfortable was using spinner.

Probably TT2 Steering Wheel can be best. I look to GGG site and I see that Steering Wheels are in 3 sizes now, interesting:

I can't playback two recordings, Notman's and Gerhard's. Hopefully there's some special setting that shouldn't be made that causes these to not playback. Both fail at startup.

I made a mistake in my 2nd post to use mmf.exe

The file polepos2.nv will be generated alone when playing at this game.

I have the same problem than you on Udirnel's inp and if i tried to playback twice allowing nvram, the inp playbacks correctly.

I will make a correction on my 2nd post to explain how to disable nvram creation for the novice players.

gerhard,it should be fine. I used the CLI version of wolfmame.

use the record.bat to do it.

it renames the .nv file to .bak then back again after play is done.

add a "rem " to the lines for the .cfg file though so you can save your analog settings.

by default nvram is used in 119...even when recording.

the bat file renames so a new one created each time

so using that I have

record polepos2 polepos2

this results in a polepos2.inp file in my inp folder.

I hope that helps.

For you, it's normal that record playbacks normally because you have a nvram folder created in your mame folder with a polepos2.nv inside.

Remember that on MARP, you must delete this nv file before recording an input or we couldn't playback without nvram this inp.

MARP is clear, if you use nvram, then your score will be deleted.

Try to do what i explain in my 2nd post or try to test with another method like deleting folder nvram before each game you record.

Thanks.
