Tommorow last day K4. Still no inp from Gavin ... maybe will be surprise.
At first day K4 I bet that BBH will be winner. I bet my all money for it

Just a little more than 4 hours to go, and we'll know who's the winner of this years MAME Championship. Good luck you two.

Bye.

:D

Yeah, congrats BBH. 8) You are great player.

After K4 I have question to players. What is more interesing? Play in finals (quarter, semi, final) with K4 system or 1vs1?
I personally think that 1vs1 is more exciting.

That's it. After almost 2 months of playing we have a winner, and it's:

BBH

Congratulations BBH. You did some great scores on the way to victory. The most surprising for me was Dr. Micro. I thought you would hate that game (you probably did), which just shows how excellent a player you are.

Also a huge congratulations to Gavin Ward for getting into the Final.

Let me end by thanking Destructor and Metrackle for their huge work in organizing this tournament with me. Its a lot more work than some might think :)

The Tournament page have been updated for the last time.

Thank you all.

thanks destructor. I agree, I was disappointed when I found out there weren't going to be any head-to-head rounds. It makes things much more personal, although it can lead to unfortunate upsets depending on the matchups (such as QRS getting eliminated in the 8-player Pacmania round when he had the 3rd best score). Still, it's a nice change and I'd like to see it make a comeback.

I actually didn't hate Dr. Micro all that much, because it was probably the least frustrating of all the games chosen. :) actually I hated it for the first half hour that I played it, but then once I realized how easy it was I mellowed out. I probably could've gotten a better score that round, but I knew my current one would be enough to qualify so I didn't bother...

I'm glad to have finally won a tournament... thanks guys ;)

Personnaly, I would have prefered the 1vs1 system ... but not against BBH ^^

Congrats Matt ...
You finally got your tourney !!
The right man in the right place :)

I'm just disappointed final wasn't very exciting to watch (I remember the great final BenJos vs Sampras on pkunwar) ; but I understand Gavin : you probably knocked him down with your first day score.
Amazing tournament for both of you indeed
