MAME Championship 2004 - Quarterfinal.

Post by Frankie »

Hi everyone.

8 players back, meaning Quarterfinal time.

The game we'll play in the Quarterfinal is:

Puyo Puyo 2 (Japan) 'puyopuy2'

Settings: Default
Goal: Top 4 qualifies for the Semifinal.
Start: Wednesday 15 September 00:01 GMT
End: Tuesday 21 September 23:59 GMT
MARP shortname: k4-qf-puyopuy2

We'll use WolfMame .78

For more information go to the Championship page:

http://home20.inet.tele.dk/frankie/knoc ... ckout.html

and go to the 'This Week' section.

Bye and good luck.

Dear god... I wish I could turn back time and ehrm.. You know what I mean Frankie ;)

Probably a good game, but I just can't play puzzle games.. I suck at them.. so I guess I can say this right away: I'm not gonna survive this round :)

huh, I was under the impression that the quarterfinals would be the start of the "head-to-head" rounds.

Either way, I think I'm doomed here too :\

So I'm happy to be not in the 8 ones finally. I love Puzzle Games except these Puyo Puyo things I never understand how they works for make chains and other useful combos.

We decided to go away from the head-to-head scheme this year.

(shoots wife and child)
Indio(Gian Maria Volonte): "Now you hate me enough to kill me. If you still can"
Fabulous music, church bells, camera stays forever at their eyes...
Indio kills him, asks for smoke, smokes hands shaking.

I will not send an inp for this game. I tried it a few times and I hate it. I will not waste my time on this type of game. My weak points: Sports games and puzzle games. Good luck to the rest of you and don't fear.. I will not snipe you.. you have my word on that :)

it's too bad, QRS... the game infuriated me too, but I played through the pain and managed to pull through with a lucky game, whew!

but oh god, I guess a sports game is inevitable now... crap... hurry up and announce the semi-final game, please!!!

Well, I'm not qualifying this round, but this championship has been my first one and
I must say that it has been very funny, sometimes frustrating, but it's something I'll come
back to do.
Too many good players at MARP... I need play more games, more time... if I could :)

Good luck to top 4 at next round. See you at next tournament.
