the all new TWIN GALAXIES...

Somewhere for the annoying and/or off-topic threads to go. Feel free to post about whatever, but abuse will still be dealt with, and possibly with more force. Especially pac-porno. ;)

That's not how they operate, they don't care about gamers or providing info no more. Wonder who are running the site these days, and who owns it...if Billy is still involved, what Walter thinks about it... what Robert M thinks about it etc...

A: Players may purchase Twin Galaxies score submissions based on three tiers:
- $25.00 – One (1) score submission or up to Two (2) hours of recording
- $60.00 – Three (3) score submission or up to Six (6) hours of recording
- $75.00 – Five (5) score submission or up to Twelve (12) hours of recording

That was six years ago under different ownership.

Currently submissions are verified in an open process by the community. No "judges" verifying performances in secret.

The community, by definition, has more knowledge than any individual within it.

For any given game, there are a number of people out there somewhere who are experts on it. If there is anything wrong with a submission, there is a good chance someone will spot it. The open process means that any shenanigans will remain exposed for someone to figure out eventually. With the old referee system, if you got past the original "judge" who verified it in secret, you were probably safe.

Someone who has followed Twin Galaxies more closely than I have the last few years could probably point to some bad decisions.

I was skeptical of community verification when it was originally proposed, but it has worked better than I expected.

Yes, I agree the open TG process works very well at the moment.

The money idea of the previous management was way out of line.

Note: Most gamers out there get paid in non dollars in their own country currency.
So in most cases it is dollars TIMES an exchange rate of 10 to 20 times
what you do see up the past proposals.

Fortunately the current TG management realize this kind of business
model would have and will never work.
