Very nice.
Focus. Jan Akkerman. This is a guitarist that never got the respect he should have...at least here in the USA. Unbelievable talent this guy had.

I stand corrected! It underscores why I shouldn't try to remember quotes late at night.
Don't know who framed Rossi. Maybe this guy? Sorry, slightly off-topic. I shan't let it happen again...I think.

Ye gotta love these guys. This contains my all-time-cynical-yep-your-right-attitude-lines:

Miserable to who? I quite like a bit of drizzle....so stick to the facts! "

Admittedly, most of the references will be hard to fathom unless you are from UK+Ireland, but I digress

Paina Summeria!
Well that's what we used to say in 80's... (Push the Button!)
Anyways, here's nice song and interesting generic video. Al's probably heard it too often but no harm trying I guess.

Interesting, Tommi. I didn't realize all the different versions of this song that were out there. I'm most familiar with the band Stories' version. Is this singer from Finland?

I'm sorry to say when I think of that song the first thing that comes to mind is Roger Whittaker from all those commercials in the 70's.
But here's the real deal:

Yes John, Kirka is (was) from Finland. He has Russian roots, maybe a gypsy?
The Babitzin singing family, all have pretty rocking voices...Sammy, Muska, Anna and Kirka.
Sammy died young in a car crash while being VERY popular in Finland.

Kirka couple years ago, rather surprisingly.
Muska is a female rock singer and Anna more of a pop singer.
Whole family has song quite a many cover versions in Finnish...often better than originals, imo...
The McCoys - Beat The Clock

Kirka - Hetki lyö

Kirka used to sing some rock in the past. I was blown by his performances on Child in Time and Born to be Wild at Linnanmäki amusement park in the 80's ...the place I used to go playing arcade games. :o)
(In the end it all comes back to videogames... :)

Thanks for the background info, Tommi. That was very interesting. Feel free to point us to other acts from Finland!
