The Package

Somewhere for the annoying and/or off-topic threads to go. Feel free to post about whatever, but abuse will still be dealt with, and possibly with more force. Especially pac-porno. ;)

The Package

Post by Weehawk »

I cracked it the first try. (With about a minute to spare.)

Can anyone else survive?

I had 8 and a half minutes to spare. Nice little visit back to my binary days of the 70s computer age...lol.

Also, nice nod to the Japanese craze, Sudoku.

Multiplication was a cinch. Just hoping the wires were the ones I thought they were referring to.

Eh, I had 5 and a half minutes to spare until I cut the wrong wire. :/

But once you know what everything refers to, it's easy. Especially when two of the puzzles were identical each time. Writing emulators helps a bit too. :)

Well now I know what a sudoku is, it may save my life one day, but not today. After I knew the rules, the rest was easy.

You cut the wrong wire???

I don't want to give it away for anyone who hasn't tried yet, but MARP's Assistant Web Maintainer shouldn't have cut the wrong wire.

Should have thought about it for about five more minutes...

If I weren't so lazy I'd photoshop a funny pic showing the MARP database depending on a similar wire based decision.

I'd be hilarious too, just picture it. Ahhh, yeah.

Hmmmm....... now I am concerned that I've been working on computers for too long.............. 12 mins 10 seconds left..... :(

Was using calculator to do the multiplication considered cheating?!?

There must be something in the BeeJay genes.....

My 13 year old son did it with 4½ minutes to spare (guessed the colour).

My 10 year old daughter did it with just over 4 mintues to spare. Used the logic that the red wire was on top in the picture so the top multiplication must also represent the red coloured wire. Not bad lateral thinking and luckily it gave her the right answer for which wire to cut.
