Post by Weehawk »

Golden Era Game of the Week

See introduction here

The Game: Demon

romname: demon

Screenshot:
Image(click to see current MARP scores)

Reward: $25 (usd)

Deadline for submission to MARP: August 13, 2004 2359 hours GMT

Further Bounties: none

Thought maybe since this game had similar controls to Ripoff I might be able to play it.

NOPE!

Never got anywhere on it at all.

Hope to see others fare better.

Next week will be more of a classic again and I'll up the bounty.

Use WolfMAME .83 or .84

As of this writing, there are still 35 minutes to midnight, GMT.

You never know who might snipe you.

Actually, I had no idea he was going to do that.

I was just pointing out that it wasn't quite midnight yet.

Look forward to watching it later.

As you observe Eastern Daylight time, GMT is 4 hours later. (8 pm there is midnight GMT)

When you are on Eastern Standard Time, GMT is 5 hours later (7 pm there is midnight GMT)

GMT doesn't change.

Congratulations des.

Have you heard anything from SlikStik?

If not I'll email them an inquiry about the spinner I ordered and send you a copy.

(Everyone please send Paypal a nastygram complaining about their shunning of eastern Europe)

Nothing

GMT time:
For example here:
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?tuaoLtUaE=42
I down-left corner you have GMT time.

About demon:
Game is simple until you get 100K (I do 100k at every time with first 2 lives) and next 'shooting-demon' bullets and reaction are fast, at 130k very fast and my method from inp is failed. I find new method from 130k for shooting to this demon but I didn't have too much time.
Points that give demon are depend from how many energy items you transport. Best if you transport 9 (19, 29, 39 ...) then demon give 1400pts for every shoot. For 8 - 1300, 7 -1200 ....1 - 600, 0 (10) - 500.

Nice ad :)

I remember playing Demon Attack quite a bit, when I had Mattel Intellivision. Gameplay was quite close to Phoenix, having mothership and all.
