Problem playing back my old Canyon Bomber INP

Post by Frankie »

Hi

I'm trying to playback my old canyon.inp file where I complete all 4 canyons. I've downloaded mame56b, but when I try to play it back it says: failed to open canyon.inp for playback.

I've tested that it is possible to record and playback succesfully, so why won't it playback my old file? Any ideas?

Can it be that I'm on a Windows 7 machine?

If you're recording and playing back in MAME .56 on your W7 machine, that's probably not the problem. Sounds like it's not finding the inp file.

Make sure your rompath is pointing to where you have the canyon inp.

Try with and without the ".inp" on the end in your playback command line.

ETA: Disregard the rest, just leave off the ".inp" at the end. Plays back fine here.

Thank you. I would never had come to the conclusion to leave out .inp :)
