Arcade japanese top score list (the database return)

Post by GHEMANT »

Hi Marpers! This is my last work about the top japanese arcade hi-score. I worked on arcade top score list from 2002. Arca project is my better work in all these years. I worked on it for 18 months. This document include almost all neo geo games and many other arcade games, the last update is 20/05/2014. Is 50% in italian and 50% in english but in future I hope to translate all in english (is difficult for me because my english is not good). Is a big work because is possible find important extra informations never see before, and comments about hi-scores. You can find player's name, date, game center, city, additional infos, number of lives remaining, lives sacrifice etc.). If you don't understand some infos I'm free to explain all possible.

- Blue background scores are official scores from japanese database (Gamest / Arcadia magazine).
- Green background scores are not official scores better of official japanese (some of them are mame replay or video found in web)

Legend with all symbols is in italian, I hope to translate in english soon. This work include 570 arcade games only. Is a limit because my free time is limitate and I can't work on all arcade titles.

Yes Great work Gemant. Just want to ask one question about my record of "Chelnov". You have put the time of Zek's record 39 mins but not me, that is round about 34 mins only.?

I have a video for Zek. For your score I have mame replay only so I don't know the exact time.

Thanks for sharing and continue this great project!
By the way, what is the name of the project? ARCAWORLD? Arca project?

The correct name of project is "Neo Arca".

Neo Arca project have 2 different documents: Arca world (international) and Arca Ita. Arca Ita is for neo geo games only, italians score only.

The history of japanese videogame magazines is a subject that fascinate me, I just want to tell you that your work is absolutely awesome!

I have a question for you and for the japanese members of MARP: What's happen with High Scores in Japan after the Arcadia's dead?? Dengeki Arcade Game have any similar section??

Greetings from Spain.

That's very sad. I hope someday a book about this subject will be published...
