Excellent scores! But why you call it "world record"?

Because both replays are 1st on MARP and I have never found higher score played with raiden anywhere. Maybe i am wrong but untill someone post a higher score played with raiden, i will continue to call it W.R. Maybe the mk2 recording should not be considered W.R because there is no score on the game and it is harder to compare with other records, but i am assuming the position on MARP, it is 1st place toghether with some other players.

ALL best scores in this game, except Sonya, included Reptile fight, so top score for each character is at least 17/18m.

Ghemant,

Im talking about MARP here. In marp rules you cannot fight reptile because you must record the game with no nvram wich means the machine is always reset to factory settings and so you never get a chance to fight reptile. The zillion times i played liket his never i saw anything passing in front of the moon (the sign indicating you will fight reptile if you win dbfl without using block)

How much this SUB guy scored played with raiden ?

About alpha, it is the only score that is submitted to MARP and he did it using technique that he saw me doing in the record i posted before him wich was 1st place until him (i did 14,211,000).
You can see the comments thah alpha leaved Thanking me for the technique: http://replay.marpirc.net/r/mk
My sonya recording is here: http://youtu.be/cNjYSGcGLpA
It is now 2nd place but was 1st when i submitted and therefore can be called "former world record", right ?

All other records i submitted was beaten by alpha, except for that 13,758,000 raiden recording wich still remains 1st wich entitles to be called world record (at least MARP world record)

I know that fighing reptile is possible to achieve more than 27,000,000, or even more if you consider breaking dimond and ruby, but that is not possible by playing with marp rules.

Well. I know Marp's rules about this game but remember that Marp's scores often aren't WR. Nvram is not necessary to see Reptile. You must play for 5 times consecutive in revision 5.0. For each coin you must win the first bonus game and then you can lost. Afterwards you can start again from beginning and repeat until the bonus game. After 5 try, in the sixth play you have a chance to see special objects on the moon and you can fight with Reptile. Max score possible with the best pattern know is about 25.100.000 / 25.200.000 with all characters accept Sonya. Exist also a trick where you can obtain max value from 3 bonus game (in this case you can perform a final score more of 27.000.000), but i don't know details about this technique, and i can't say if this is a LEGAL OR NOT about rules (the only player that can explain about this is Michael Girard).

Actually Marp not allow more replay in the same inp, because there aren't rules about this game, but if you want call your MK score "world record" is necessary fight with Reptile, because in original arcade machine Reptile is a part of score system and play against him is normal and legit.

In 2010 Michael Girard perform 25.140.000 points with good pattern (after some suggests from me), i seen the video but i not have wolfmame replay, so i can't confirm if this score is real or made with save state. However this score was made on playstation version so it is excluded from rank of arcade WR.

But unfortunatly, there is no way to fight reptile without submitting an inp
With other games played and lost before the actual game because
if you send the inp they will consider only the first game.
I have fought reptile zillions times and already did more
than 24m but i do not rember if i ever did more than 25m.
Maybe one day if i have time i will try to do a recording
fighting reptile and post on youtube.
But i would be more interested in beating alpha and be 1st
place again on MARP. Maybe if MARP changed the rules and
Allowed recordings that depends on nvram or allow
More games in the same inp i would be a lot more
interested in beating that 25,140,000 from girard.
Anyway, if you take my 13,758,00 score and put more
the score from reptile dbfl win it would reach near 25m.
I think i can easily pass 25m
because my personal best without reptile is 14,113,00
(wich would do more than 25,300,000 with rept) and if
you consider recording after some 2 player matches so
you can break ruby and diamond it would easily pass 27m.
So, it is only a question of rules whether you put reptile or
not into account because fighting and beating
reptile is not a big deal for me and for anyone
who can score near 14m without it. Girard got 25m
with scorpion, not raiden. So i still not saw any score
greater than 13,758,000 without reptile or near 25m
with reptile. Thats why i still claim it is raiden
world record because as i said, including the score
from reptile into account is only a question of rules.

On TG you could play until you lost a match. In this way you can finish the game five times and, on the sixth, you can fight reptile and submit a world record.
It is fair enough, :D

For now no chances. Marp's rules must be changed for Mortal Kombat, this is sure. And if you want explain all this, you can open a topic.

About score system i doubt that score changes for each characters except Sonia (with Sonya is not possible play against Reptile). Because each character have the same pattern to play for max score possibile: only close high kick for all time + last hit with throw + fatality or something similar. Work with all chara. So I can say that if you made 25m with Raiden you can obtain the same score also with Sub-zero or Scorpion etc.

My suggest is play with wolfmame and default settings and made a top scores with all chara, but use wolfmame only and not video on youtube to demonstrate your scores, because if you upload a video on you tube is not possible check if you use save state or cheat or slowdown. Use Marp's forum or other way to upload your wolf replays.

Versus matches.
If you play vs. Match again and again, at some point both plalyers will get to the bonus round simultaneously with a split screen. If after both players break the stone and aftert that you start a single player game, then the first bonus will be the steel, the next will be the ruby valuing 1,000,000 points and then the diamond valuing 2,000,000 points. So you get 3,500,000 from all bonus round against only 800,000 from all normal bonus rounds, thats a 2,700,000 extra points you can get. But as well as the case with reptile this procedure requires previous games to be played in order the acchieve this scenario, so we ended up with an inp with lots of games played.

I did a reply there reinforcing your request, maybe we should open a new thread to discuss this ?

I wrote :

"I agree with rax, mortal kombat games should have special rules that allow more games in the same inp and only consider the last game from the inp. This should be fair enough, because even though there is more games in the same inp, it is still considered only one attempt per inp, because the first games played would only have the purpose of enabling reptile.
