Just a suggestion for MARP. Why not have a MARP Game Of The Day to encourage more gameplay, fun and competition? Just a single line on the MARP homepage saying "Game Of The Day: <random game>" will suffice. It could either be written into the webpage to update itself randomly everyday or one of the editors could do it manually.

I agree.

Although with "game of the week" instead of "game of the day" will be more competition, I think.

Good idea, though "Game of the week" is more likely to generate the competition factor, as Luja suggests.

And if Mahjong Lemon Angel is randomly chosen, you'll be happy to play it for a week

?. Besides we have ongoing tournaments for serious competition, a game of the day would just be for fun and no obligations to anyone. You may even get the occasional mini-battle anyway. Also it's something that can just be left to run without any interference or extra work and if a crap game comes up you only have to wait until tomorrow for a new game

I suppose it should read "I suck at vertical- & horizontal-scrolling shooters"

Personally I believe the Space Invaders style shooter is a seperate category.

I have to give due credit to Diabolik - if it weren't for him I would not have tried so hard & never have managed the "loop" - which I still have only managed those two times!

I don't remember having tried Space Attack - I've probably loaded it at some point, done badly & not gone back to it though.

That sounds pretty cool, actually.

If enough people are interested, maybe we can organize and run it on the forums. I could easily add another forum just for a friendly weekly game challenge. As well as some basic web page with something different on it than the usual tournament/competition stuff.
