LET THE CLONE WARS COMMENCE!... though this time I won't try to start it off as I inadvertently did with Gauntlet Mania ^^;;

You sure did start that one off. It sure was impressive though to watch some of the peoples' scores just start taking off into the stratosphere. It'll likely happen again whether you start it off or not. I was actually really enjoying all the various battles on the romsets, at least until a couple people seemed to really get the feel for the game and post some incredible scores! I still can't get past level 13...

I was hoping to post some 720 scores as Ive gotton pretty good at it using the mouse. I still can't get it to playback. Ive tried no sound and frameskip 0 etc... I got the originals to playback using an old version of mame but no luck on these new clones :( . Anyone know how I can these to playback? :?:

It's called emulating every possible version of every game. Aaron just happened to get a hold of a shitload of Atari ones at once.

I guess it would be much better to concentrate efforts in somenthing like "...adding laser games in Mame....".... :? ....or at least adding sound to my poor Mustache Boy .... :P

I very much doubt you will be able to Dax. Only ever worked on older mames. I expect the same will apply to APB as well.

Yep, you're right. Seems like it might be a sound issue. When I turn the sound off I can't insert a credit for either of these games. As if it needs that toll of the bell sound, when a credits inserted.

Coin inputs are controlled by the sound CPU, which isn't emulated when you disable sound. Use Free Play instead. (I'm assuming it's the same as for Gauntlet and other Atari games)

That got me one step closer. I actually got 720, and APB to start without sound, but the game was unplayable and uncontrollable and often crashed back to the demo screen. Come to think of it, it behaves just like it does when you try to playback a recording with sound on.
