TMS57002 might as well be halted for now, since it doesn't do anything for now other than passing initial checks (being basically a mixer for the sound, i.e. bathroom sound quality in Sexy Parodius)

It's right there, where it says "Kong (Donkey Kong conversion on Galaxian hardware) (kong)."

My personal interpretation to the choices of [bigkong] and [kong] is:
People want to play still Donkey Kong, but they aren't allowed to vote it or any clone, because [dkong] was already played in a recent previous tournament, and so they have picked a ROMset that is not labelled as a clone of [dkong].

Note: "interpretation" :D

No, i just like Crazy Kong..can't you tell by my username? I just figured rather than choose the easy version, which takes an hour or so to kill screen, I'd chose Big Kong instead.

You have the answers right in front of you. Look at the first post, the one with instructions and the mega list of games already played. They are limited to Tournament 8, Knock-Out 8, Time Trial 11, Week Challenge Championship 8. The most recent played tournaments only, perhaps you may discuss on the presence of T8 in the list but I sincerely don't think it hurts so much.
"dkong" was played on Knock-Out 9, relatively recently because I was there and it's been only a few years I joined this community. If future tournaments will adopt the similar mechanism to determine which games to exclude from choices, then you can be sure that from T15 it is possible to vote [dkong] and/or clones again.
There is no "never".

Time for voting has finished!
We're now getting in the phase of games discussion. If you think a game should be moved to another genre, a genre should be split or two genres should be reunited, or a game should be deleted from the possible choices, leave a reply in the thread explaining your good reasons. Main examples of valid reasons could be "the recordings of this game have big playbackability issues" or "reaching counter stop in this game may be too easy to achieve in the four weeks of time", and so on.
If all seems to fit well for you, then you don't have to do anything, just wait for the tournament beginning :)

Note: "golden era" is NOT considered as genre.

It may depend from the version of Mame used. In the newest versions, the use of 9+ characters for a romset name is allowed, while in the past they were all restricted to 8 characters max.; so "esprade" is the parent, the adding of a J refers to the Japan clone, the adding of an O refers usually to an older set, but "espradejo" (japan, older set) could not be allowed as romset name in prior versions because it's 9 letters long, so the J was avoided.

These are just little details not very indispensable, I just wanted to make sure you refered to the Japan older version :) thank you
