I'm guessing you can't use Wolfmame 106 for this game?

You'll need 0.141 or later.

Back when 0.106 was released, this game would not be considered for inclusion in MAME (the unwritten 3 year rule).

To play this game you need 141 version. I think this game work fine with that version.

Are there any problem to play this game with 0.141 version?

Aha.... tried this for the 1st time last night and it's another Cave bullet fest shooter.... a very nice surprise!! :)

Unfortunately I can only manage 58%, or thereabouts, on my main gaming computer so I'm going to have to revert to keyboard play for this one and use our faster laptop at home... or, hope I can finally source a PS/2 keyboard plug to USB converter that doesn't introduce a lag when using the HotRod controller.

Very hard, even for a Cave game. Died on stage 2. My best ever is 25mill. so I will try harder.

No. The game was officially added in v.141 and it plays just fine. older machines < P4 2.8ghz might have trouble keeping up over 95%

Please, remember
It's mandatory upload the score to MARP and add in the description the word "T12"

It's mandatory to use 0.106 or 0.141 version of mame

This game makes a NVRAM File each time with Wolf141

How can you target and shoot things? Seems to be alot more points in doing this.

Here's what I know so far.

When you shoot enemies they drop a green 'chip' with the value 1 - 5. The closer you are to the enemy when it explodes the higher the number. When you shoot an enemy you get a small countdown timer in the top left. While it's there, each enemy you shoot, with the target laser (hold shot button), drops a green 'chip' with the same value.

so, get close to a weak enemy and kill it with normal shot, then take out numerous enemies with the target laser, and collect as many 5point chips as possible.

These chips will add up on the large counter in the top left. When you reach a boss it will start to tick down. So kill the boss as fast as possible.

You get a end of stage bonus for:
chip counter
number of bombs left
and not dying.

hope that helps a little. Or even makes sense :?

It should be noted that your multiplier decreases when you use the target shot. So, you could increase the multiplier more first, then go for more target shots, which are multiplied. It's up to the player to figure out what scores better for them.
