I believe you'll find that empardopo changed the style of the tournament to be similar to the original Txx series so that people, such as myself, who are going to be away for several weeks could still participate.

Cheers,

i think so too, although it's more competetive to have the next game announced acutely.
i have looked at all the games, and i believe "mad shark" is the best of the bunch, and that has gone already. most of the others i think are poor choices. these games are aimed at 7 year olds. novelty games. how can they choose a game for a serious competition that only has 5 uploads in all of marp's history? obviously it's a rubbish game judging from the uploads alone. to be "forced" to play this is torture. (i say forced, as it's a tournament)
i believe random choices are best, but random poor games is very bad. i have waited a long time for this event, and i am extremely disappointed in the line up of games. they are a competetive "turn off" in my view, which is a bad shame. i know i should embrace the challenge, but the games are so bad, i'd rather not.
what a let down.
having never played these games obviously compounds my complaints, and the shmup's will be cool, but the others so far are nonsense games.
am i being too picky? or are they poor novelty games with the attention spectrum of 5 minutes maximum?
maybe i should just play them?
i don't like the thought of having to convince myself i'm having fun. i would only play these games if it was 1983 and i was at home.
lol!!

One more crappy try. This game may be highly original, but it's a bitch to get the hang of the controls...

Using the mouse (one hand) and the keyboard (the other hand) is easier for me. You can try it

There's a button for this game? I've been using dual joysticks but for some reason had no clue there was a button. What does it do? I've just been clearing levels and got to season 18 once at about 70k points and just recently discovered that those treasure chest can boost your score fast so was thinking 100k was possible. I like trying to figure games out by myself but maybe I need to watch an inp on this one.

Edit: Just did some more research and I don't see where a button is used for this game. Also learned about the randomness of the treasures awarded and am disappointed to see that this game comes mostly down to who gets the best treasures. Doesn't seem like a good game for a tournament when it comes down to luck. How many restarts does it take till you get a 100k bonus?

I was referring to keyboard buttons, sorry for the confusion. :)

There is a button defined (other than the start buttons). I know it's possible to switch positions, but I forget if that's done via a button or if touching a specific enemy does that.

I completely agree with you, the 100k golden crown completely spoil the game
