Hi all,

1st MARP tournament for me and just a few noob questions:

1. Is there a filename convention we need to use when submitting?
2. Where do we send our submissions?
3. Is there a leaderboard available to view?

I checked the main site but it seems to only have details of the last tournament (#10).

BTW, the prize money makes things interesting... :)

Nope, but shorter filenames for the INP is preferred. The ZIP file that you upload (containing the INP file) will have its filename set upon upload, so what that is called is irrelevant.

For now, upload them to MARP as you would for regular MARP submissions, with "T11" in the description so that we know that it's a tournament submission.

Not at this stage, but I've poked Zwaxy about setting up the MARP database properly for T11. When (if) that happens, we should then have a usable leaderboard for T11.

Looks like Alibaba has playback issues with both 106 & 141

for me desync too. Well, Ali Baba is banned for playback problems. In new draw result is 11, Vs. Pinball (first result was Dangar UFO Robo but too shooters already).

Ali Baba is changed for Vs. Pinball.

Wait a minute ...
I think Alibaba is ok if we record with -noafs.
I've made several attempts with wolf141 and frameskip 0, all were playbacking ok ...
Maybe needs more testing, but I think it's ok

I think you should take a week to debate and test playback issues.
From memory, I think we always did that before a 8 games tourney.

Interesting. I'm tempted to play at least on these titles.
Just a warming up on Todruaga, I post there because I've already 176k on regular.

Well, sorry, rectified. If anyone have problems with frameskip o Ali Baba continues in T11. Otherwise we changes to Vs. Pinball.

I strongly suggest coordinators to open a new topic like as "T11 Official Games and Rules", listing the official games, romsets, rules, versions allowed to each game, official start and ending of the competition, exact way to submit, etc. To newcomers, this MARP Tournament section is looks not good, like "Games of T11" are the final games, etc.

This is one of those moments where I wish I could do something to help... but for multiple reasons (the fact that MARP is programmed in Python being the big one), I, alas, can not. :(

Actually... now that I'm thinking about it... I COULD add a competition on HARP... I'd have to program a leaderboard though... which shouldn't be too hard. Of course, the disadvantage would be that everybody who wanted to participate in the tournament would have to sign up at HARP, so far more people than Potante would have to be with me on that plan.

Anyway, it's just an offer if anybody wants to pursue it.

I'm not totally sure how things are run around here but perhaps a referee/admin could setup a simple leaderboard spreadsheet over at Google Docs?

I use wolfmame 0.106 only. And in this emulator Alibaba doesn't work, the playback is always wrong.

I did + 30K and when I checked the playback... Only 3800 pts (???)

I don't wanna use wolf 141 just to play this game. I think it's better change the game.

Did you try to record with frameskip 0 ?

I disabled the option "frame skipping " auto and put the option "draw every frame". Doesn't work, I did 24.100 and playback is 19.900;
