Use default settings. Default settings should be the rule. When mame have wrong settings, or a new mame version change the old settings for mistake or unknown reasons, you can search in web a original settings for jamma board: http://otokaru.net/contents/dipsw/ta-to/daimakai.html level 4 is default ...

Both versions are original MVS carts and probably exist 2 versions also in AES ROM. The same for many other neo geo games. There are again some games in 2 versions not available in mame, exemple Blue's Journey.

ok, after some research... both MVS version exist officially (some users have set 1, other have set 2). Set 1 (with big damage Broken) is common, set 2 with low damage is uncommon. However there are tons of differences... in set 1 some combos not work, special moves are slow....

Is the first case of AES / MVS version totally different in gameplay. My question is:

the old wh1 (aes version) exist also in MVS in some part of the world?

Actually the first position in Marp is played on wolfmame 144. This version is totally different from the others (I use 106 usually): the damage is totally different. Yes, Ghemant, I understand that, but it is also true that using autofire allows get advantage in many games and it will cost little effort to play therefore you can play and practice more often and obtain better scores, isn´t it? You know my best score in Tomma is 988.000 points (which exceeds the score of the Japanese record) , I´m a western player and I dont see many difference with a japanese player. Firstly, Japanese records available with the old version of the game had a bug that allowed you to make millions and millions of points and complete a dozen or so loops of the game with infinite lives, I did 12,000,000 points with that version of the game!!!
