This game is sensitive to frameskipping so the gamer likely used dynamic frameskipping where at some point the frames skipped gets to a point the sync is off enough where it results in a death where it didn't happen in the actual game...then sync is totally lost.

hard to say...I think the slightly higher score one showed just a minor degree of skill beyond the 2nd place.

maybe they know each other and have seen each other's play...where #2 is mostly copying #1...but doesn't have it quite as down.
