Any Mega Recordings For Bubble Memories?

Here on MARP we have some good 12+ million scores, but are some way (15-20 levels) from completing the game. The scores are improving all the time so I'm sure it is only a matter of time before someone completes the game on MARP. An old GAMEST spreadsheet shows 33,180,150 on normal and 39,786,800 on...

Hisa, How come you removed your 7nt_1942_14158180_mame55.zip file? Are you trying to make a better recording? Was there something wrong with that recording? I also remember at one point you were going to go for a new record for starforc to beat your 10.2 million inp currently here on MARP. Are you s...

Are these the nodumps ? I'm not sure how to check my rom set for no dumps, I better RTFM on clrmamepro ;) No, those are most likely corrupted zip's where the zip header does not match the data. By default CMP doesn't check for it. You need to select checksums in the scanner and tick "unzip and...

Replay's will not be affected because MAME won't be affected. MAME simply reads a zip file for it's roms. As long as the roms are zipped in a suitable format, they can be read and loaded into MAME. All MAMEzip is doing, is standardizing the roms in the zip archive so they are alphabetical, don't hav...

Dan,

Your english is fine. I was trying to understand whether you used a program or whether you did it manually. Whichever method you used, Well done!

Dan, Nice work. I've done a couple of maps as well. See http://members.iinet.net.au/~tmorrow/emulation/emulation.html for maps of Star Force (without sprites) and 1942 (with sprites some cut off). The approaches used for each map was different. In general it seems to be a difficult problem that invo...

I get the same result. With no sound it plays to 70000+ where the player has to jump from platform to platform over the fire pits. I'm running XP.

Some more searching at this japanese site indicates that the url for the galaxian recording is http://isweb37.infoseek.co.jp/play/mame ... ay/794.lzh. Maybe they changed it, dunno.

Cheers,
Tim

Luja, This recording plays back perfectly in mame32 0.53 using the current romsets valid in MAME 0.83 - I just tried it. It is a kickass recording too. The player uses Axe=Battler The Barbarian. Here's some of my observations. At every opportunity the player destroys the enemy using the 'kill and dr...

The current rule is fine. While MAME's emulation is far superior to any ported game, it is not perfect, not even close on many, many drivers. Even a fast machine will have dips below 99% for a plethora of reasons besides performance. Quibbling over 5-10% average framerate won't get us anywhere or ad...

From what I can find, it appears randomly when your weapon is at full power and you are at max speed. Also (from what I found) it only makes your shot look bigger, it isn't any more powerful than your full power weapon... So you think it only occurs when you are full power/max speed and even then i...

Zero Wing - How to get super powerup?

This has irked me for years, ever since playing the Genesis version of the game. It also happens in the arcade version. I was playing zerowing in MAME tonight and the super powerup appeared. Is it random or is there a way to deliberately trigger it off? I wasn't recording an inp since I was playing ...

*perk* Why the hell would Taito let something to .. foolish slip by? It seriously has no time limit though...? So there's like some safe spot to hide while 1 monster runs wild.. or is this the screen where it's nothing but endless falling due to no floor? Kelly It is a bug in the game. The level do...

Round and round we go ... I've never liked the argument that pausing is cheating because you couldn't do it in the arcade - it doesn't adequately explain the situtation. Unless you were playing a cocktail cabinet, you couldn't sit down either, does that mean that all MAME inp's require the player to...
