If you want to hide your high-score technique go over to TG where they're happy to hide them. This is MARP, where everyone can watch over one anothers shoulders like we did in the arcades, and in most cases learn something.... except when you're already a master of the game in which case you won't l...

PS: Who scrolls a list in Wolf106 looking for a particular game or scrolls a list in Windows Expleror looking for a particular file? Just click the first entry in the list and then start typing the name that you're after, with < ½ a second between each keystroke, and it locates to that file nice and...

I think Haze sums it up in a nutshell... some things are just more efficient to do via a command line while other things are either not affected by efficiency or are just easier to do via a GUI. I can see that for Mame developers it is much quicker, as Haze has shown, to run a command line version o...

Hm.... 1 hour gone, stage 12 and 107,890...... definitely not enough time..... and those survive rounds certainly make it difficult. Now, the speed the timer goes down on the survive rounds is certainly not seconds on Wolf 0.101.... however, if you play this game back on Mame 0.55 then the countdown...

Man has the bar been put high again this week...... as I spent rest of the week playing Dig Dug II, I don't think 3 hours is going to be enough to get close to 50% of the 3rd place score.... and I don't really need another mouse pad so I'll leave the random draw to someone who hasn't already one a p...

He's clearly playing something like Pacman, or some other game with no fire buttons...... but then what is the big red button for I wonder.... ?!? .... and judging by the 5 o'clock shadow it's a marathon game so that adds to the likelihood of someone taking ages to group the ghosts in Pacman. ...

Barry - you're right, I forgot to convert it to US$ which makes it even cheaper. I do have to own up to having a 70% no claims bonus currently otherwise it would be closer to the US$500 mark for the insurance on the two cars. Still a lot cheaper it would seem than our friends in the US, not unsurpri...

What does car insurance actually cost in the US ?

For some reason, yet to be understood, I actually registered what one of those annoying side-bar adds says and in this case it was advertising car insurance with a headline of "save $500". If they're offering savings of $500, how much does it actually cost to insure your car over there as the saving...

Just a word of warning since you mentioned that game: the Pole Position wheel was able to turn 360 degrees ... or more correctly was able to spin indefinitely. I expect he's familiar with this given his initial comments. It would certainly be nice to be able to play Pole Position again as the manuf...
