Which side for the joystick

Since this seems to have been the subject of some off topic posting, lets run a poll to see where the joystick is normally located for arcade machines in your area.

Out of interest, how many different countries have people played arcade games in? I've played them in: New Zealand - where I grew up and currently live Tonga Fiji US of A Canada UK Sweden France Germany Switzerland Austria Denmark Norway Greece Italy and probably another couple of countries that esc...

The joke is to use your weak hand to control your game... believe me. ... or perhaps the joke is to have to use your strong hand because your week hand is so weak it can't do anything except push a fire button. Here's a thought for you, use your good right hand and beat my 1 life Juno First score (...

Left hand for move stick. Oh boys... I really cant belive what I read really.. I m shocked What is more important? ...

When u say pacman, which one do u mean, boys? And what score? All of them, and I don't particularly like the game so I've never bothered to learn patterns for all the levels. However, I grew up playing Pacman style games with a keyboard on computers, so it seems quite natural to not use a joystick....

This joy is too large. Main problem remains: How do u stick it on desk? with glue? As I said originally, there is no need to stick it onto the desk. Because of it's size and weight it simply stays where you put it even when playing say Robotron and really getting into it on both joysticks. You woul...

The major point with joysticks and the difference with coin-op ones is to stick/screw them on desk in order to be stable. Do u know or does any1 has such joy? The HotRodSE, apart from the buttons being slightly too far apart making games like Gunsmoke painful on the fingers, makes a good joystick f...

Plays back fine for me as well..... I suspect it will for you as well once you correct the filename for the inp file on your playback command line, or rename the file from strhoop_994.inp to strhoop.inp before attempting the playback.

Cheers,
BeeJay.

BBH has already politely answered......Again, Chad was just politely....You've already been told numerous times to....... Its not necessary to repeat what other people told in the past. Then stop saying the same thing. I was specifically responding to your 2nd statement about the file size being so...

Its not about 200k, the one inp is 5MB and the other is 35MB. BBH has already politely answered this question for you. Mame records far more information into the INP files in later releases than it used to in earlier releases. If you were to look at some of the really old recordings for games that ...

I just checked it, neither my playback works... As per rule 3 it is the players responsibility to double-check that their recording plays back correctly. Most of us check a recording plays back correctly before uploading that recording to MARP. If it is close to a time deadline for a tournament, we...

Actually they've done at least 1 Chch exchange in "public test" mode...... unfortunately not mine as far as I know.... but then I'd expect the exchanges they would choose would be in the Cabled areas of Chch or Wellington..... since that is where they have the most competition...... it's also why li...

You got in before me Barry. Here in Christchurch you do get some alternative choices via cable, but only if you're in an area of Chch that has been cabled. In my case, the cable option stops one suburb away from me, or about 1.5km away, so unfortunately ADSL is my only option. The plan I'm on is a s...
