Re: [UPDATED 2008-01-15] Forum upgrades

Things appear to be working again, and the board has been updated to the latest version in the process. As for people having issues with the new theme, I activated the "subsilver2" theme - if you want to use that one, switch to it in your user control panel. Something more familiar for tho...

Re: [UPDATED 2008-01-15] Forum upgrades

looks good so far...but I am having trouble visually seeing where 1 post ends and the next starts. IS there a way to change color scheme for that element so you see a definitive line between posts or threads etc. in listings? might just take darkening up that extremely light blue a little bit. very...

Hi all, Yes, I haven't been around here much these days. I just don't have the free time for it :( Those captcha systems just don't work to stop spambots. They can get around them easily enough. All they do is annoy the normal users. The idea about having to answer a simple question that a bot could...

Thanks for the donation Weehawk!

Once again, Weehawk is kicking ass with his donation for hosting fees this year. I think there should be enough in the account now for the next two years, as I ended up paying close to $200 myself a few hours before that donation :) I don't usually read the forums these days or play many games in MA...

Deleted a ton of inactive users

Thanks to some prodding from GB9, I got around to deleting all of the users with no posts and no login activity. Deleted rows: 1892 (Query took 0.1573 sec) I apologize if this hit any actual accounts, but I think that should have been kept to a minimum since anyone using it has probably logged in at...

That's kind of what I was thinking as well, but you never know. In the past few months, clicks have gone up quite a bit, but I can't even check what they were now. I should contact them to see if I can get anything more specific.

IMPORTANT - regarding google ads...

Ok, so who was apparently either using some program to generate ad clicks, or otherwise doing non-normal things to generate clicks? I received an email this morning saying my account is disabled because of it, and anything added to my account will be returned to the advertisers. From their Program P...

I want to see some of this stemy action! Probably not as good as steamy, though. Might be lots of branches and leaves involved.

Now hurry up and get the two games that are the main reason for getting a n64: Zelda and mario 64! I bought mine a few years back only because these two games. I don't think I have played many others on that system actually :) Zelda was the main reason I got a N64 from someone. Not long after, I ha...

When I upgraded the forums, I had to redo all of the mods. Including the attachment mod. Since then, it had been enhanc...

If I click on the PayPal button on the MARP news page does the donation go to the same place for keeping the forums and the marp database hosted? The donation link on these forums and http://marpirc.net go directly towards hosting for the forums and anything else *.marpirc.net related. The Paypal b...

do you know if the same person clicks the same link on the same machine multiple times will that count as multiple google clicks or not? clickbot! IIRC, those multiple clicks will become null and void if they're by the same IP, within a set time period. Not sure if it's one click per IP every 24 ho...

Webhosting service renewal - Thanks!

Just a head up - my hosting for marpirc.net will be up for renewal on March 2, 2005. I'm still in awe of, and greatly appreciate, the response I received last year when we were having massive server problems. You guys rule :) If you wish to help out more, feel free to donate towards hosting costs vi...

There was a virus doing the rounds last week or so that attacked phpBB's - is that what you were referring to? Apparently, it puts something in place of the usual board front-end or something... Dunno :) Yeah, it was something like that. Dreamhost sent out an announcement about it, but I never read...
