I think all you need to do is change the MARP code so there is a limit on the number of score submissions in one day for each gamer...maybe 5? maybe 3? think 3 would limit things during MARP contests too much....but 5? should even be ok for most during a contest. sure, over the course of many months...

however, with any catlist there always are some in the gray area.

not sure it's worth having the separate leaderboards...since this Olympic style board was put in place it seems very few pay any attention to the leaderboard at all.

it's odd he calls it a bug. I don't view it that way. I view it where the game was coded likely correctly as it states as it is expeected....but then in testing the gameplay maybe was too easy or caused some other flaw that could be exploited or cause an issue in the actual gameplay. back then coder...

yes, the cfg issue was a big issue in 128. but fixed in 129. 128 is pointless to use. :P i also think(but would need to test) that in 129 if you press TAB to then get to and view the dip switch settings while playing back an inp file, the settings shown are those from the inp file....not from the cf...

yep, F3 not recorded...F1 and F2 are recorded.

also, if you have more playback issues, make sure you are using a fixed frameskip value...not dynamic/automatic.

I just don't want to see an isue raised with the romsets where there IS actually a limit to the number you can get (be it 4,6,8 or whatever) as they don't come anywhere near the roller after x number have been killed. true dat...but found that x number happens after at the 4th screen for most of th...

bbh needs to make a ruling/start a poll, nibbler and wrx2 are clearly going against the "progress" rule. YOu need to show you can get 9000's on the faster levels. (1) don't allow more than one 9000 score per level or DQUED (2) don't allow any 9000 scores on early levels (1-3) or DQUED (3) give mult...

It's actually the only way to play the game and get lots of points on the boards without spending another 3 hours clearing more boards with less points on each. Just don't call my technique lame. I really don't appreciate that. Yes I could get the #1 on all the clones if I could be bothered to play...

it's not that the programmers suck etc. they had very limited ram and rom chip space etc. the games had to be extremely optimized. The games reach limits... 8-bit==256...where many games hit a kill when "256th" level is reached...cuz the variable(s) controlling certain aspects of the game were 8-bit...
