Thanks. Unfortunately I think I missed a contest star, so I will probably try to upload an improved recording. Hopefully this won't take me another decade!

Wrong mame version listed?

I tried to playback: http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/a/f/0/kk ... mame78.zip using MAME78 as listed but it didn't work. After some trial and error, I found I could playback to the advertised score with MAME68, but not with MAME70 or later.

Maybe a typo in the MAME version used to record?

It's not a great pain, probably just more like an annoying twitch. This is caused by the users needing double the number of MAME binaries (i.e. normal and Alpha for each version), but mostly this is a solution to the compression and CPU usage problem.

Excuse me for coming in so late in this discussion, but I think that AlphaMAME is using the wrong technique. The purpose of encryption is to "hide" information from individuals who do not know some secret value and/or do not posess some particular device/characteristic. I don't think the p...

"U.S. Championship V'ball (set 1)" [vball] has sets played to 10, with a time limit of 1:15. So it is indeed possible to get 10-0 in the first set, as my recording shows. Maybe you are thinking of "U.S. Championship V'ball (Japan bootleg)" [vball2pj], which has sets to 7, with a ...

Thank you. This is actually better than I ever managed in the arcade. I could never get past that last level. Maybe using a joystick instead of a trackball made the difference.
