seems like those roms should be treated according to the original set hacked into any particular multiboard. Seems silly to treat certain(not all) multiboards as 'new' rom sets; maybe just archive mame-based types of multiboards?

I tried to play 1 back, but it didn't give the score claimed, which isn't such a big deal to me. What made me wonder was the ball bahaviour...are there settings to adjust the 'power' of a stroke? I'll play these again this winter, but no time now... In the now, if you figure out why they don't all p...

So is this an enforced rule now, or more of a 'guideline'? I only ask, due to recent win97 submission on: gtclassc-ac...it is his first submission under that name, so it may just be a newb. Just curious if it's only to keep certain people from submitting. I haven't ran mame in over 6 weeks now, but ...

I have been playing around with 'easy mame', but will check out yours. I can't believe anyone would prefer using such an outmoded interface. I've become somewhat dis-interested in mame lately(used it 1 time last week; none this week); not sure if it's the underlying hassle or just the extra workload...

I should've included a smiley :D :D I'm not trying to piss anyone off, but there are similarities to poker. Strategy is key to both, but also hand of fate. Phil, I acknowledged that some are good, but even you must admit that some of them just suck. Both you and Des say in some descriptions that som...

That's because it IS poker...that's even how Chinese people describe it, so whatever.

Honestly, I've never seen one anywhere in the US. Pretty rare to see poker/slots in a US arcade; mostly bars&casino's. I did say that some are good, just not most. The mahjong puzzle games are good, usually. The one's with 'bet' in the title are gambling games.

MARP's getting to be quite the hostile environment lately. I wasn't making a 'dig' at anyone, but every time this comes up, claws come out. Matching/puzzle games may be boring to some, but they aren't based on 'odds', but more on problem solving. Not all mahjongs are created equal, and some are dece...

Hmm...I think most of them do have a pts scoring system, as that's how payout is determined at the bars/casinos...as for tables for top players, not any are coming to mind, though some surely do. Some of the poker scores are defined on the cabinet only. However, if they made as many poker/card game ...

True, some don't require a bet, but they are all odds based and non-competitive. Basically, any game played in a casino is a gambling game, which is about the only place it's played commonly. Poker with extra cards is still poker.

I see what you mean...that's a lot of clones on those racing games!

It's basically, Chinese poker, but with more 'cards' and combos; more odds based play, and there are strategies, but it's still betting game.

For simplicity, couldn't commands(such as -no pause) grouped into a 'wolf' option that can be selected/deselected in the 'default game options.' That way, anyone who doesn't want to disable any features, simply wouldn't select it. Adding info like framerate, wolf option setting, and perhaps start/fi...

Thanks, Barry...getting many of those features included directly in mame/mame32, is an excellent idea. Maybe all of the mame options/settings/speed performance and commands(like pause) could be logged at the start and end of an inp. Perhaps an options file encoded in the inp
