MARP, it would seem, is back in business.
I just tried to submit the 280K game but got the dreaded 500 error, so it's partially there but not completely.

#6 was very easy for me (yes, this could be considered a hint :)) #7 was not familiar to me, but two people have said that 100% it's a certain game, but it's not letting me past. Well, so much for #1 I will admit that I needed this "clue" (ok, answer). I actually went through several web s...

I guess this is goodbye for me - I have no time to play because I have to prepare a presentation and a contest for saturday... bsides, I know who's going to win Same for me. As I said before, I suck at driving games anyways, plus I haven't had much time to play since the weekend and I have no more ...

Dammit, I can't even get the first boost with the falcon. How are you guys quickly vibrating to the side to hit the other vehicle off the starting line?

Edit: Ok I found it, hold down the horn button.
Is it just me or does anyone else dislike games that have silly things like this hidden in them?

Submissions through the site still work:

http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mode=fetch

It just may take a little patience.
It only took two tries for me to upload to MARP.

If you have lives remaining after finishing any chance time level, one will be taken away. If you finish a chance time level with no lives, it will roll back and give you 255 lives (I assume, 8 bit counter..?). (Does the PCB work differently? It would make sense that since the level is called "...

First guess would be that we're looking at a situation where a disproportionate number of the still-existing machines are a later ROM version in which the problem was fixed. Like with the Joust pterodactyl-hunting thing, but less well-known. Yes, that could be the case. So less, in fact that the la...

Have you tried the "kangaroa" and "kangarob" ROMsets? Would be nice if we could hammer down the differences in the ROMS. I haven't tried them recently, but from what I remember when this came up on the TG forums I played all three and didn't notice any difference in the gorilla ...

http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/9/e/3/tgk_kangaroo.zip I think in this replay was used this method. Stage 4 only is in description. I can't playback correctly this input using mame from 29 to 35 under windows and DOS. Steve's recording plays back for me on my Windows 98 machine (DOS version of MAME)...

Well, quite a bit of controversy over such a cutesy-wootsey game. There seems to be some doubt about whether the TG record score is even possible: http://forums.marpirc.net/viewtopic.php?p=4747#4747 Whether certain methods of play are legitimate: http://forums.marpirc.net/viewtopic.php?t=9323 And w...

Don, how consistent are you in getting to and going past level 14 without dying (can you always do it)? I can make it to level 14 without dying pretty regularly, but definitely not every game. I've played quite a bit this week and last (since it was announced as the on-deck game) and my average for...

I'm a little confused -- didn't the world record go past a million? If it doesn't record, how do you know what the score is? I never said it didn't record past a million, just that I felt like stopping at the highest "displayable" score, meaning the highest that can be shown on the high s...
